ABOUT US
1st Generation Family-Owned Business
We are Shana, Joe, Moe & Skylar!
We love what we do and work hard to share our passion of farming and baking with you. We have been providing our products throughout central PA and the Washington DC area for 10 years.
We are excited to grow our business within a community who believes in what we do. Thank you!
OUR BAKERY

We bake a wide variety of breads because we want to have options for everyone.
Most of our beads are European style breads. Some use our sourdough starter and some use commercial yeast. We don't believe one is better than the other.
What is most important to us is that our bread is fresh, nutritious and full of flavor.
We use whole wheat, whole rye and whole spelt flours, which are gown and milled by local famers.

We strive to support local grain farmers and even plant some of our own grain each year!
When local isn't available, or is limited, we source our flour from other mills who we believe share our values such as King Arthur and Natural Way.

We use locally grown berries and fruits in our baked goods.
And we will only use locally grown, in season produce in our ready to eat foods as well such as; our picnic salads, soups and savory pastries. Because of this, our menu frequently changes. We hope that customers will appreciate our business model and will patiently wait until the following season to enjoy a special baked good again!
In the meantime, don't shy away from trying something new and in season!
OUR FARMING PRACTICES
We strive to be stewards of the land and our animals.
Our animals live out on pasture where they have access to shelter, fresh grasses, and bugs. We also offer them locally grown, free choice feed, to be sure they are getting the proper nutrients they need. Customers are encouraged to walk around the farm and meet the animals. We believe this is the best way for you to see where your food is coming from. We are confident that once you see how our animals are raised, you will feel good about buying our products.
We use organic practices in our fields and gardens under most circumstances but do not believe it is sustainable to allow an entire crop to fail or an animal to suffer if there is an alternative way of saving that crop or animal.

We are a full circle farm. This means that everything we do on our farm has a purpose. The chickens & cattle feed off of the pasture and are rotated throughout the fields. Their manure provides organic matter and nutrients which is vital for growing grains, vegetables, fruits and hay. In the fall or early spring, small plots are seeded with rye or pasture mixes full of legumes and grasses for the animals to forage on. In return, we get hay and or rye, and the animals will provide us with healthy meats and eggs. Then the cycle starts all over again!
