KITCHEN STAFF
MUST HAVE KITCHEN EXPERIENCE!
We are looking for one individual to join our kitchen team!
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Making sandwiches, salads and other food items to order.
- Daily food prep includes slicing meats and cheeses, chopping veggies, and making other prepared foods.
- Washing dishes.
- Keeping the cafe area clean and orderly.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Thrives in a fast paced environment and works well under pressure.
- Someone who is reliable and trustworthy.
- Is able to engage with customers when needed as the kitchen is open facing to the customers.
- Works well independently and is able to follow daily tasks.
- Keeps busy, keeps things well organized and clean.
- Is open to cross training in the retail area which includes checking out customers and making drinks.
SCHEDULE:
- We are flexible on the days of the week, but someone who is available to work weekends will get priority.
- 2 days a week - 8 hr days.
COMPENSATION:
- Pay depends on experience but will start between $14-$15/hr plus shared tips, with a performance review at 3 months to qualify for a raise. Tips average out to an extra $3-$4/hr on top of hourly wage.
- Paid 30 min lunch per 8 hr shift.

Now Hiring for Farmers Market Sales Clerk!
We are looking for one part time individual with great customer service skills to attend our weekend famers markets in the DC area. Availability for either Saturday and Sunday markets or attend both!
Pay starts at $18/hr plus shared tips, which averages out to another $3/hr. Pay increase after training period. This job requires long hours and the ability to work well under pressure. Bread perks and a simple IRA after 9 months.
Hours are as follows:
Saturdays: 5:30 am - 4 pm
Sundays: 5 am - 4:30 pm
We are open to training one person to attend both markets, or two individuals who are willing to work together to fill in both shifts.
Duties include:
Loading and driving our van to Silver Spring, MD (Saturdays) and Dupont Circle, DC (Sundays)
Setting up market display and selling breads and baked goods.
Must be great with customers, reliable, trustworthy, able to do quick math, have a clean driving record!
Ideal candidate will be a fast learner and able to become knowledgeable of our products and able to promote them to our customers in a professional manner.
